Before I posted this I heard her turn the key and hold it and does samethinf just held it and wouldn't fully start. Any ideas?

Things I've done:

And rotor
New rotors and breaks for front
Turned down rear rotors and breaks

Have NOT done plugs yet..been meaning to.

Known issues thus far:

Rear end slaming into gear..thanks!

These things are real fussy when it comes to tune up parts, they all need to be AC Delco, especially the spark plugs, (41-993) distributor cap, (D328A) & rotor, (D465). The spark plug wires need to be a good quality name brand, (AC Delco, Belden, Autolite, etc) NOT a store brand, (Duralast etc). These are all basic items that must be correct if you want the engine to perform properly.

Next step is check fuel pressure and leakdown at the service port next to the distributor. Most auto parts stores rent/loan them for free, and sell the for around $40. When you have one available, let us know and we can guide you through the test procedures, (very simple).

Fuel pressure gauge is $100 to rent.. I don't know what the leakdown is.

Fuel pressure and leakdown is critical on this engine, gotta be in spec or you'll have problems.

With the ignition in the run position, engine off, the fuel pump should be activated for about 2 seconds and then shut off. The pressure while the pump is running should be 60psi to 66psi. The pressure must remain above 55psi for at least 10 minutes after the pump shuts off. The amount that the pressure drops is called "leakdown".
