i have a 1999 s-10 blazer ,when i turn it over it starts up and turns right off again, the security light is on steady all the time and, also all interior lights are off including under hood light and rear hatch lock button. it happened while driving and would not start next day thats when i noticed lights not working also., ,i have no idea if problems are connected, i just bought it two weeks ago and now it sits in drive way, i replaced weak battery, looked for shorts, dont know what to do ? and money is tight right now.

 

my guess is that if the security light is on, then you are having an issue with the passlock II system. not an easy fix. dealer for the most part. sorry.
