Default 99 jimmy ac question

my 99 jimmy 4.3 4x4 has aproblem with the ac. When I push the button for the ac the light just flashes. it worked fine all summer and now nothing. I would like to figure this out before the hot weather in the spring. any help is greatly appreciated.

Flashing light is normally the indication of low Freon. When the system is low, it can work when outside temps are warm but flash as the temps drop.

Check it with gauges.
