Hi there...My 99 s10 Blazer will not start. I parked it for 3 days, it was running decent before parking. (Slightly sluggish upon first start in very cold weather). My battery was bad, so I replaced it. It will not start now. It has spark. 70lbs fuel pressure on the rail, so the fuel pump is okay. It has 132,000 miles on it, and until last thursday, was going strong. Has anybody else ever had this happen? I am fearing the worst, (timing chain) but hoping maybe one of you guys has an answer that will be a touch more simple! I was thinking maybe crank or cam position sensor? It has a service engine soon light, but when I hooked the obd2 code reader to it nothing came up. Maybe the computer? I am so irritated. I have been working as a parts sales manager for 3 years, fixed countless peoples cars, yet when it comes to my own, I am stumped!!!

does it even try to start or just crank ? does your scanner have a live data option ? if it does see what the engine coolant temp is. I had this problem once it was the ect sensor the sensor was telling the computer it was like 30 below 0 good luck

It is cranking, and acting like it wants to start, but it just wont catch. It would be great if it was the cooland temp sensor, it would only cost me 20 bucks and a bloody knuckle to fix it. I was wondering...do you think that computer failure could be possible?

Okay, just thought since the coolant temp sensor was such an inexpensive part, I would go ahead and change it. (What a pain in the butt to get to!!!) I also bought a battery with higher cca's. It started! Thank you, thank you, thank you for your help! It ran cruddy at first, but after about a half hour of letting it run, it smoothed out. I think my exhaust may be a bit plugged...has anyone ever put a different exhaust system on one of these things? What works?
