Hey guys I ordered a new starter for my 99 blazer from rockauto.com and its identical to my old one except for this nut on the end of the motor cap. Is that for a ground or something?? I will post a pic.

 

i see that from time to time, who knows why they put that there on some starters. i would just guess this starter might also fit in a car or something and maybe a bracket goes there. the starter itself will ground to the engine block itself
