Default Abs????

So I was having the classic speed sensor problem with it activating at low speeds. I ordered some new wheel speed sensors and sanded down the rust per https://blazerforum.com/forum/tech-a...ment%5D-26941/ After all was said and done the light is on now. I have no idea what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've given up. I'm just going to replace the hubs and hope that is what it is. When I turn the car on I can hear the ABS turn on then off. I have checked and checked the sensors and I'm thinking it's just the hub. If anyone has any other suggestions please let me know.

I believe the ABS code , once set must be cleared to reset the light ... and a standard OBD2 handheld unit will NOT clear the stored hard code(s) .

If the speed sensor was the fault and you repaired it properly (verified by testing it as described in the tech article), the light should have gone out. I would get the ABS codes scanned and post up the actual code here so we can help you fix the problem.

If you didn't verify that the sensor was putting out the proper mV-AC output to the EBCM (electronic brake control module), do that now.

I went ahead and ordered new hubs. Should be here in a few days. The old ones have about 140k miles on them so I figured why not go ahead and replace them.

Hope that fixes your problem. It a lot cheaper to have a scan run & know for sure. Replacing enough parts to fix a problem gets pretty costly. Good luck

I'm just upset because the new hubs come with new ABS sensors.

Replaced the wheel hubs and it fixed the problem. In a weird turn of events though my cruise control works now. Two birds one stone... that's what I call a good day.
