ABS Brakes: Pros/Cons.
#1
Alright so my ABS Brake Light comes on once in a while (not just on start up) so I just turn the truck off and than turn it back on and it goes away. Doesn't happen all that often. Every once in a while maybe 2-3 times a month or less. The front end was comepletly redone, everything. I haven't drove the Blazer in the snow yet cause I only got it this summer. ABS or Anti Lock Braking System I assume is to stop your vehicle from skiding when you have to brake.
I find most of the time when I turn into parking spaces or have to turn and brake that it kicks in and almost seems like she doesn't want to come to a stop. More times than not its when the wheels are turned. Obviously ABS brakes is applied fully and not pumping the brake at all but weird how it grabs and makes that almost grinding noise.
Anyone else have any input on this?

Chances are the sensor in the wheel is going bad, causing it to think that its starting to stop. Mine did that and it was the sensor in the drivers side front causing the ABS to fire when it shouldn't

X2 on the front sensors... they may just need to be cleaned. (removed and wiped off)
Also check the condition of the wire leads to them as well.
