Default ABS, ignition switch?

2001 Blazer. I checked other threads and couldn't find quit the same combo of symptoms. ABS light comes on and off while driving. ABS engages when it shouldn't. Today slowing to a stop on pavement it engaged at around 5mph. Almost couldn't stop. Once two weeks ago when I turned it off the alarm started going off, after I got it stopped it appeared that the power flickered. My radio presets were gone. A week ago I came to a stop, it stalled. Would not idle on it's own. After I shut it off and turned it back on it worked fine. Neg battery cable was a little loose. Tightened that. Haven't had the electrical problems lately but the ABS issue seems to be getting worse. Another thread mentioned the ignition switch causing strange behavior. Not sure if these are two separate problems or the same.

It's actually been starting fine. Sometimes it seems that the power will be at 14volts and sometimes 13. I will try the ABS fix. Thanks.

Yep, thats normal ABS behavior for a blazer that needs front wheel bearings or front wheel sensors cleaned and/or adjusted.

Well, I took out one vss (vehicle speed sensor) just to check it out. Did not look damaged or warped. It did however have an excessive amount of bearing greese on it. I wiped it of and put it back together. Being a magnetic sensor I wouldn't think the greese would affect it. I don't want to speak too soon but the light has been on much less and the abs less as well. Will try cleaning the other side.

The brakes and rotors were fine. I'm also considering I may have jiggled a bad connection too. If cleaning the other side dosen't work I'll try to get it hooked up to a computer.

If you pull the codes it will tell you which sensor is flaky

Here's the current update. Had the mechanic at work scan the blazer. ( I work at a car auction). Came up erratic reading on right front vss, or something like that. He keeps trying to tell me the wheel bearing, but it has not displayed any signs of that. Feels solid, no noise. Did however discover I needed a idler arm. Just replaced that. While I was at it I took out the vss. No grease at all on it, and a lot of rust dust. Cleaned it off, abs light still on. I'll replace that next I guess.
