Default ABS light and loud groan

My situation is very odd. My abs light will come on if I go over a bump, and sometimes go right back off, sometimes it will come right back on and stay on through the duration of the current trip. I think its the wires on the front hubs that are causing the issue but I still havent been able to pin point that.

The other issue with the groaning is if I am slowing to a stop it will give some push back, almost as if someone were on the other side of the pedal pushing it back to me, and it results in the wheels still turning a bit. I have to apply lots of pressure in order to get it to stop. This has been plaguing me for a while. What could be causing that issue? Is there anything that I can do to resolve that? Changing brake pads or bleeding the system?

Thanks in advance guys!

My guess is you have a bad/damaged harness on an ABS sensor. If you remove the front wheels and look closely at the harness between the bracket on the upper A-frame and the sensor you see the harness is damaged. That's where it flexes when you turn the wheels, also check inwards, if the harnesses weren't routed properly you could have damaged wire in further. What's happening to you is when you apply the brakes and a sensor loses connection the ABS controller thinks that wheel is locked up and relieves braking pressure from it. You're trying to stop with one front wheel.

If no damage to the wiring could be a bad sensor in a wheel bearing, I have had the same problem with a bad bearing (in my case lots of problems with passenger front wheel bearings) In the mean time before you fix the problem take out the ABS fuse to keep the ABS from engaging when your trying to stop.

My guess is it is probably a bad sensor in the wheel bearing, its sending the computer the incorrect speed for one of the wheels which is causing the ABS to engage.
