ABS problem 2003
#4
often when the bearing is starting to fail it will take out the ABS sensor
If you can find an open area to weave on the road at about 50mph
you will usually hear the bearing growl that is going
If you steer to the left and you hear noise its a right bearing and vice a versa

Resistance is not what you're looking for, AC voltage output is what you need to check: http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/GM...s_bulletin.pdf
There is an inner and an outer set of ball bearings in each hub. A worn bearing will be noisy when it's loaded. When turning, one set of bearings in each hub is loaded and the other set is unloaded. Turn the opposite direction and the load transfers to the opposite set in each hub. Using a stethoscope is the best way to determine which hub is noisy.
