ABS Sensor
I am wondering if someone can tell me or better yet have a picture of the ABS sensor in the wheel well. I know mine needs cleaning but I can't find an accurate enough description of where it is, I followed the line down but I don't want to go poking around for fear I might break something. But my ABS light is on, and from what I read this means its not working, this is an obvious way to wear out my breaks faster. Anyway I want to fix it. The unit looks clean not used and abused or burnt out, leading me to think its a dirty sensor issue. Thanks
If your light is on a cleaning most likly will NOT fix your problem, you need to get it scanned and see what the code tells you. But if you still want to clean it you need to remove the caliper and rotor, and then you will see where the wire goes into the sensor and the allen headed bolt that holds it in place. And for the rear sensor, it uses the vehicle speed sensor.
