Default AC leak

Hey guys I had a question about my air conditioning. I've had problems with it since I got my blazer. All of the air conditioning components have replaced. It started when it wouldn't stay charged. I figured out that the hose assembly wasn't tightened all the way to the compressor. so I tightened it and it still won't stay charged. I can't see any leaks but my thought is that the leak caused the system to loose its vacuum. Could this cause it to not stay charged or is there a leak somewhere that I just haven't noticed? Any help is appreciated.

I would either put some r134a that has dye in it or take it to a shop that has an electronic sniffer. How long does it take to loose charge?

It usually takes about 5-6 days to fully loose the charge

That is a pretty bad leak. You should be able to find it using dye.

You need to evacuate the system & recharge. How do you know you are not overcharging the system which will give you limited cold. R134A & any of the synthetic freons act much different than R12. You could get away with a little over charge but not true with the synthetic freons. To work correct they need to be charged exactly to what is called for.
