Default ac only blowing hot

Picked up a 97 blazer but the ac will not blow cold....the compressodr is engaging but no matter what you do the temp stays at a consistent hot temp..., pulled glove box and looks like i have a rats nest and a control valve (believe for floor to panel) had been eaten through...,im thinking paper from the rats nest got sucked into ac system....trying to find what part and where it is that controls the actual tempature putting into the cab.

Please help or any other ideas

Yes, if the temperture door will not move and is stuck in the Heat position, then that is pretty much all you are going to get...heat. You should be able to reach in and remove any material that is in there and hopefully fix the door control.

Got a camera to take pictures with? Would be a great posting.

The temperature control (aka mode control) door is controlled by an electric actuator. There is a gear inside this actuator that likes to crack and cause the door to stick in whatever position it was in when things let loose. Search around the forum, it has been discussed before.
