Thanks again guys....I know the air works good....just not as cold after 7 years of use....the only reason I brought up the 12a was that was a kit that was on sale from our Canadian Tire stores here.....Im sure it only needs a top up of R134A....I will not bother withe the 12a and will pick up some R134A....again thanks for you help guys.

I would say do not mess with it. If you don't know how much you have topping off could over charge it. That gauge on the cans you see at wallmart is universal. Take it to a shop have them recover and charge. Its a little more but its better then blowing up the compressor or worse. If you really want to do it yourself the right way buy a vacuum pump from HF and some AC gauges.
