Default Airbag ON/OFF switch

Hey guys. Is there a way of installing an on/off switch for the passenger side airbag? I might be making some mods to the interior during the summer and I might be installing some equipment on the passenger side that could get hit by the airbag if it goes off. I never carry passengers except on very rare occasions and if I do, the equipment would not be in the truck and the airbag would obviously be on. I understand the S-10 pickups had an on/off switch for the passenger airbag. Is there a way of putting one in the Jimmy?

Would be a cool idea but I'm not sure what all you would have to change to make it work because doesn't the signal come from the ecm telling it so release the air bags?

I'm pretty sure you can do it fairly easy providing you have a u-pull-it yard. Just find a truck that has one, pull it and reverse engineer it.
