Default Another A/C query

Hello one and all,

My A/C has never worked since i got my blazer last year, last week i decided to try and top up the A/C to see if it would do anything, so i went and bought an A/C refill kit.

So with out the engine running we started to add the A/C, and got it to where it said it should be.

I started the truck and nothing... still no A/C

So with the truck still running we hooked up the A/C refill kit, all of a sudden the A/C motor kicked in and started spinning at the same time the level of freon just dropped to zero, as the kit was still connected it started refilling, once it got to about 40 the motor kicked in again and it dropped back to zero. this happened about 3 times before i turned the engine off and disconnected the kit.

has anyone else had this problem, i have had a look and found nothing that seems to be the same on the site.. (i apologize if i have missed a related post)

Any recommendations as to what the problem is or what i need to do to get it fixed (apart from taking it to a pro)

Thanks in advance

Sounds like normal operation for a very low refrigerant level. Keep putting cans in until the pressure reads in the green with the compressor running and I am sure you will get cold A/C. For how long depends on how bad the leak you have is and if any of the stop leak in the replacement R134a works.

make sure the o-rings are good where the pipe fittings connect together you can replace them from your local hardeware just take two wrenches and seperate lines and remove o ring and match up at the hardware.and use soapy water solution in a spray bottle to check for leaks after replacing and during the chargeing process.good luck.ben512v................
