do you think the new one I got was faulty from my test on it when it went to where the black line enters in came out of port 3 i believe? (off position i believe you said nothing should flow out)

Definitely a faulty mode switch. When you apply vacuum to the source port, (black) and select the BILEVEL position, it must hold vacuum.

may as well just get a new one now, my girl being a student i can get 2 free day shipping from amazon

to get a tad off topic, while taking a vacuum line off for testing, i broke the washer fluid hose tht goes to the front two, is there a part number for this or is it just a certain size hose i need?, also is there a connector to connect both lines where it split or should it just be replaced?

Snip out a small section and take it to an auto parts store. Get a section of rubber hose that the plastic fits snugly inside of. Splice it back together.

im trying to imagine if the small rubber hose would compress inside of there and clog it. think i could get away with a plastic connector kind of like the ones with the vacuum pump...yet i wouldnt know what size to get

The existing plastic tube will go inside of the rubber hose.
