Another PCV ?
I have a 2005 blazer 4.3 vortec. I'm doing some general tune up maintenance. I decided to start with the easiest PCV valve. I'm not new to these parts and their purposes and locations but this has me stumped. I started on passenger side didn't find it only an empty hole connecting to the air intake. Went to the drivers side found what appeared to be the valve. A round grommet which appears to be attached to the valve cover just above the vortec name slightly to the rear of the cover. I disconnected the hose and exposed the top of which matched a pcv valve. I pulled it out and it looks nothing like the new one I purchased. New one looks like a typical pcv valve hose connect on top and a fat bottom with a clean rattle the one i pulled out is slim and nothing inside. where do i go wrong? where is this damn pcv valve?
Driver side, center of the rocker arm cover. You found it. I have seen PCV valves come apart on the bottom side and the guts fall into the overhead area. Not so much with steel OEM valves, but much more common with the el cheapo plastic replacement valves. Pull out what you found and post a picture of it.
