antifreeze smell
Ive replaced the heater core in my blazer due to it leaking when I purchased it a couple months ago. Im still getting a slight smell of antifreeze and I noticed it seems to be always slightly wet and smells like antifreeze near the top of my radiator near the cap. I replaced the cap thinking it may have been leaking but its still doing it.
The wetness im seeing is so slight it doesn't leave a puddle on the ground but you can smell around it and smell antifreeze. Is the plastic tank leaking ? Is there a patch for this or do I need another radiator ? Also... I know someone selling a auto trans radiator for a 96 blazer, mine is a 98, will it fit ?

it could be the tank, if it is really that small of a leak, you could try cleaning it off real well and put some jb-weld over where it could be leaking.
as for the 96 radiator fitting your 98, as long as it has the correct hookups, then it should fit.

I had a small leak on my intake manifold and my mechanic recommended using the ac delco coolant tabs (cooling system sealant tabs). They're inexpensive from the gm dealer and according to my mechanic they are suppose to be added any time the coolant system is opened. It stopped the leak and I haven't had any more coolant loss. Also used them in my old car and my leaking $700 rad is no longer leaking. Also they are designed to not plug up the system heater core etc.
