i am having trouble with my 99 jimmy,the shifter button is really hard to push in to take out of park after it is out of park it pushes in easily.anyone ever run into this?if so what was the problem.thanks mike

 

My dad's '98 Intrigue does that, he thought it was normal but I have to use both hands to shove the button in and wrestle it out of Park. I don't know what the problem was, but maybe the brake/shift interlock has something to do with it?

 

sometimes it is very easy to move other times can't hardly get to move

 

been reading the forum,gonna try to see if maybe the shift solnoid or whatever it is called,in center console needs cleaned hopefully will correct problem
