ATC Fuse

Default ATC Fuse

1998 LS blazer would not go into 4 wheel drive. Found ATC fuse to be blown, replaced fuse worked fine for a few days now another blown fuse. where do I look next as to reason for continuing to blow ATC fuse

This would indicate that the encoder motor is pulling a higher current draw than it should. You should check the connections both at the TCCM (behind the passenger side kick panel) and at the encoder motor on the transfer case for signs of corrosion. If that does not work, then your encoder motor is likely starting to freeze up. This can happen if the motor locking assembly in the encoder motor fails to open completely. You could try messing with the encoder motor itself, but there is a lot you can mess up by disassembling it. You might get lucky though.
