Attempting to revive Blazer - no start
#1
Hey everyone,
So you might have seen my earlier post in general about the blazer dying. I'm trying to get it running so I can at least sell it and not have to part it out. The head gasket I believe is leaking and the water pump has a leak too.
The blazer isn't turning over, I can hear the starter solenoid engage and just tick once when trying to start it. I pulled the starter and got it tested. It isn't perfect but the autozone guy said it should get the job done. After reinstalling the starter i got it to turn over once, but the battery was toast after trying it so many times before.
I charged the battery all the way up and couldn't get it to turn over again. I pulled the battery and took it to AZ and they said it is fine too.
My cousin thought it might be hydrolocked from coolant seeping in. I wouldn't think that the case with it having a history of turning over 2-3 times since this issue started.
Any ideas?

If the battery is fine and the starter is fine i would go with the hydro locked idea. take out the spark plugs then turn it over and see what happens.

I agree that's what it sounds like.
