G,day from Australia,I have a Chevy Blazer 1997,built for the Japanese export market RHD which I have imported into Aust. I have two problems 1. Keyless entry fob. [gm/uta 15036450]anyone know where I can get an extra one? 2. I have a rattle from the from the front end , have replaced front s/bushes and swaybar link and bushes. Still have a rattle . Any ideas ??

 

have you checked small things...maybe a brake line hitting the frame or loose bracket?
all the grease fittings been greased/checked lately...that usually is more of a squeak..never hurts to look.

 

Yeah, I have checked out brake lines and greased all parts that can be done. Today I'm taking off the shocks to check the bushes!! I'v noticed that a lot of rubber hoses and bushes are perished so bit by bit I will replace them. thanks for your thoughts.I put the wrong year for my car its a 1999 not 97 still looking for a replacement keyless fob, have contacted a few key companys in the States but no luck so far.

 

as far as the fob, i think you can get them on ebay sometimes...maybe that is an option.

 

Finally sucess,on the front end rattle! It was the sway bar link.I have now tightened the link as per directions in the workshop manual,should have read directions in the first place!!

 

Only three more problems [1]Service 4x4 warning light comes on every now and then,how do I turn it off??[2] Again a warning light, Air bag warning light goes on and off whenever it wants too, could be off for days then on again???? [3]Lastly heater will not turn off!! My chevy is a 1999 LT 4x4 Blazer with auto climate controll.
