98 4 dr 4x4. Replaced engine and went to start it and had no warning lites except sel & airbag lites. I started it and none of the gauges worked.
Replaced the ignition switch and still have same problem. Been fighting this for a while. Put my obd tester on it and everything works. Take it off and I'm back to square one. Any help?

 

are you sure you got all of the ground wires back into place?

 

Haven't found any but I did break a couple but I soldered them back. Hopefully I didn't miss one. Is there anywhere I can hook a ground wire to the gauges & warning lites to bypass it other than using my obd cable. Thanks
