Default bad MAF?

the truck been haveing fuel issues but fixed them wouldnt hold psi for more than like 5 min but thats all fine now.

issue is when taking off from a light it feels like its loading up.. runs rough for a sec almost stalls than clears up and runs fine until i have to take off agian. its getting a p0171 and p0174 code. if i unplug the MAF it runs fine no issues. is it worth replacing the MAf?

Disconnecting the MAF will richen the fuel mixture. If there's a DTC set for the MAF it should be diagnosed and replaced if the flow chart leads you to it. If there is no MAF DTC set, chances are it's ok. P0171, P0174 and at times a MAF DTC can be set if fuel pressure is low... I'd check pressure and leakdown and the fuel filter for restriction first..... always best to diagnose before replacing parts.

no engine light is not on for the maf until its unplugged. just for the p0171 p0174 codes. i may try the fuel filter it has been a while since it was changed. but all the fuel issues seemed to be fixed now. no leakdown at all really. builds preassure fast and holds for hours.

i did also notice another issue that needs taken care of. the engine is a normal temo but the guage only reads like 120ish.. so needs a new sensor there

Coolant at 120F could easily be part of the problem. Might want to check it with a thermometer at the radiator, or an infra red at the thermostat outlet. The thermostat starts to open at 195F and should stabilize slightly above that.

What is your fuel pressure with the key on, engine off, and fuel pump running?
