I am extremely new to this site, but I first wanted to say that I like how everyone is willing to help out each other with at least their trial and errors. Now I have sort of the same issue with the banging and popping as I turn to the right though. Mine didn't start until after I had it aligned and after the alignment I noticed that my control arm link was broken in half. After I put the new linkage on it was when I first heard that dreaded banging too. I have a 98 S-10 Blazer 4X4 4.3 with about 193,000 on it and still runs pretty good. Does anyone think that the new linkage could have anything to do with it or do you think it could just be coincidence that it started at the same time? Thanks in advance everyone and am hoping I can contribute something positive to the forums soon.

What exactly do you mean by control arm link? Do you mean the sway bar end link?

If you installed the bolt with the threads on top, it might be contacting the tie rod when you turn. Either flip the bolt, or cut off the excess.
