What is a good brand name of a serpentine belt to replace the one I have now on my 2003 Blazer?? The one on it now(not the origional) whines so much especially in cold weather...I read somewhere that the whine is probably coming from the belt rather than the alternator and that there are some belts available that run very quiet and recommended?name brand and where to get it ?? thanks in advance!.....

 

The Goodyear Gatorback belt will provide a nice long and quiet life. The pattern cut into the ribs of the belt helps it wrap around smaller pulleys better than uncut belts.

 

Thank you....yes I have been trying to find the Gatorbach locally to no avail,noone seems to have it in stock,but I did find them at RockAuto.com......surprised none of the local parts houses have them though.....never done any business with RockAuto but getting ready too!
