Help - Need best lift option for a 98 Blazer
I have a 98 blazer that I would like to lift high enough to fit 31" tires. I have been researching the site and after my head stopped spinning I thought it would be better if I just asked. So here it goes. The picture is of my blazer sitting on flat pavement, as you can see the front sags approximately 1". I drive 85 miles round trip daily and the blazer drives great so I would prefer not to lose comfort. Off roading is mostly sandy paths or fire trails in the pines. I was looking at a 2" body lift and torsion keys to level things out. Also will i need to replace shocks? If that’s the way to go can I get help with a lead on a quality setup?

Body lifts are a good safe way to fit bigger tires as they don't change the suspension geometry. Personally, I'd shy away from the torsion keys and just do a T-bar crank. Only raise it up about 1.5" or you'll start to excessively wear suspension parts like ball joints. The torsion keys would lift the from too much and cause these parts to fail. With a T-bar crank and a body lift, chances are 31" would fit nicely, however, there is always a small chance that you'll have to trim the fenders slightly to prevent rubbing when turning.

On the 4x4 Blazers, the front suspension has something called a torsion bar in place of a coil spring. As the bar is loaded, it twists and untwists acting much like a coil would. By tightening the bar, it will raise the front of the vehicle. It's a pretty agreed upon fact here that you should only use this method to raise the front about 1.5". Its all up to you and the way you wanna drive your blazer...
I purchased a Fabtech 3.5" lift with spindles and leafs w/ shocks... It was about $960.00, I still have the lift on with no suspension problems since i installed the lift 4 years ago. It never took my ride quaility away and i was able to clear 31's with minor trimming. Mine too is a daily driver.. but mine is a 2wd keep in mind. but im just a big fan of suspension lifts.....
Fabtech is the best lift money can buy in my opinion..
