best trans fix option 97 blazer?
im trying to figure out how to fix or swap the trans in a 1997 chevy blazer 4x4 v6. it seems everyone of these has broke there trans. so I want to replace it with something better if possible. I thought maybe theres a better year that will swap in, or a better replacement that used better parts to fix the issues these trans have. currently theres no reverse and most say first and third will stop working next. please help advise me on best options and price cost for such or who to trust in the trans market. I can remove and replace trans myself, but im not able to tear into the trans itself. so a swap for a good trans and converter would be best or a good trans repair of my current one might be okay. im in the lima, ohio area.thanks for any help.

Personally, if you want to go better I would say remove the torque converter and flex plate, add a flywheel and clutch kit assembly and go with a 5-speed manual like the one in my signature. But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong. I have an NV3500 5-speed, but I'm in a ZR2. So I don't know for sure if an NV3500 will work or not for your truck. These guys appear to back their's with a warranty. Chevy GMC NV3500 5 Speed Manual Transmission | eBay
