I am replacing my 4.3 and I need to know what is the best cat and muffler combo ,also I am considering duals. Any ideas?

 

I got a flowmaster super 44. It is pretty quiet but it sounds okay. the 4.3 doesn't sound very good with a loud exhaust.

 

I have the delta flow 40 and like it

 

Youtube helped me out. I went with the original 40 series flowmaster.

 

I put the 40 series Flowmaster on my Blazer as well...not so much for the "sound" but that it is smaller and is hidden by the frame rails whereas the huge OEM muffler did not. Just looks better.

And I agree with Tajohns34, the 4.3L engine does not have a great "sound" to it.

 

I got a walker quiet flow ss and it sounds pretty good at idle

 

OP make any decisions yet?
