Have been wondering how we used to manage in the days before cellphones?

tell me about it!!

i had to hitch a ride off of the 401 (NA busiest highway) because of a blow-out when i first had my licence. (i had removed my spare to make room for my friends drum set, for a show the night before)

The rev counter as you call it, also called tachometer dropped to zero as it is electrical and gets is signal from the ignition module which needs the high voltage from the coil to function. With no coil high voltage, no signal, no rev counter.

Had a girl friend once that was driving my 95 Blazer and called me and said it just quit. So she called for a tow truck and they brought it home. Problem....out of fuel....she did not drive my Blazer much and did not know where the fuel gauge was..???? (We did not stay together much longer after this)......LOL
