Default blazer with gas leak

I have a 2000 blazer and every time I fill it up it leaks. I have yet to do anything with it. Figure it was a vent problem and pressure was building to push out liquid. Could use some help if you don't mind.

Where is it leaking: from the tank, filler neck, purge canister? Is the SES light on? If so, what DTC's are set in memory? If you try to overfill the tank, (put more fuel in after the pump stops) the purge canister will become saturated with raw fuel. The canister is not designed to handle raw fuel and if that happens, the canister must be replaced.

I would start by trying to locate the source of the leak. It could be a a broken vent, but with the vents being positioned at the top of the tank, it shouldn't leak until you get the tank full. If you notice it leaking whenever you fill up, I would have a look at the fill and vent line that run up to the fill port from the back of the tank.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but, When I (Just started doing it) fill my tank up and I'm one of those thats keeps putting gas in after the first click for stop refueling (I can get at least another 2 gals in after that), well, back to where I started, I don't have any leaks that I can see, but a real strong gas smell in the truck (2000 LT Blazer 4x4, 103K miles) for about 5 mintues. I roll down the windows and it goes away. This has never happen to me in 8 yrs I have own the truck. Now I just had the injectors clean and the MAFS clean, would that have anything to do with that gas smell?

been awhile since i was on here. solved previous issue but now have a new one. When I replaced the fuel pump my helper thought the tank was free but the vent in the front of the tank wasn't and is now broke. I have checked to see about replacing it and apparently they are not replaceable. You must buy a new tank. It's still driveable but it bogs down when you first take off. I also noticed that when I fill up the tank anywhere over 3/4 of the tank, it seems to build pressure and leaks from a place in the back above the spare wheel. Looks like a square connector
