Default Blazing Blazer Vapor Canister Replacement

I tire tread removed my vapor canister and rear bumper cap on the driverside. I have a brand new vapor canister ACDELCO 215 176 which I can't locate any specs on. The canister for this year make and model is ACDELCO 215 177. The hose attachments are identical and shape and size match. I can only find that the 176 model references Oldsmobile. Are these compatible?

Looks like that 215-176 is for a 1996 Blazer/Jimmy/Bravada but I don't know how its different from the 215-177 that is called for for your year. Now that you have supplied the year and model we have some people with more parts knowledge here that may be able to help.

Thank you George. Since its function is purely mechanical, I wouldn't think that the specs would be significantly different. My biggest concern, after function, is proper operation of the emissions and service code. I look forward to obtaining any additional help, advice or information. Thanks again

Its not a complicated device so I would imagine that the differences are the hose attachment points and the retainer bracket dimensions/style. I don't know this for sure but if everything fits and seals I think you will be OK. Wait a couple of days in case someone who has faced this gives you more information.
