Default Blazr2 MPG vs normal Blazer?

Does anyone know how are normal say 2000 Blazer would compare to the zr2 version?
I'm reading all these fuel threads and I upgraded my spider and put uin a delco. Fuel pump but still getting crappy MPG. So I was starting to think it was the zr2 option.

I have not redone my fuel pressure test again but I will this week when I get a chance. I was just wondering how much being a zr2 was altering my gas mileage compared to what I read here.

ZR2's are wider, taller, and heavier...I would guess 1-2 mpg drag over regular Blazer, but that is just a guess. Crappy MPG's can be caused by other things, though. In my experience, the more "all-season" or aggressive your tires, the worse you're going to feel about gas mileage. My stock BlaZeR2 would get 18 on the highway with its factory-equipped street tires, but did no better than about 15.5 with either BFG AT's or Firestone Destination's.

So it might not be entirely the fault of the ZR2...also take a look at the tires you're running.

Ah thanks for the poll, I looked thru it, seems like they always get worse mileage, which is unsurprising I suppose lol.

Yea I have a/t tires on her, suppose that isn't helping any.

Thanks guys

shouldn't be a huge difference. 1-2mpg worse sounds about right. 10" lift and 35s still gets 16-17mpg on the highway, about 13 in town though.
