Default Blower install causing transmission problems now?

So i did the blower in my 96 blazer and I'm having a few problems with the car now and I'm thinking they all have to be related somehow.

So when I put the new blower in, the circuit almost immediately started smoking and killed the new blower. It's fried and won't work.

My other problem is now the transmission. I'm getting really hard shifts and it's throwing a p1886 code showing a bad shift solenoid 3-2.

It was almost immediately after the repair. Can these two problems (fried new blower and bad transmission) be related through the pcm somehow? All i did was unplug the pcm for the blower install and plugged it back in after i was done. Battery wasn't connected when i unplugged and plugged back in. It was a pretty basic blower install. It just seems too coincidental for these two problems not to be related. Any idea what's going on?

Default

At the risk of embarrassing myself... I think I found the problem.

I was checking over every wire running in and out of the pcm to see if anything was corroded or loose and I noticed one of the plugs that plugs into the pcm was not completely in. I guess it never completely clicked in, so it was just very slightly loose.

Would something like this short a blower and cause eletrical problems to the transmission, but the rest of the car work perfectly fine?

The plugs now completely plugged in and it's running great, but i only went for a short test drive. I'll drive it a little longer tomorrow, but all seems fine in that short ride.
