Default Brake Light Problem

I have kind of a weird issue. The driver side brake light does not light but the middle and pass side do. I checked the bulbs they are good. I found that when the right turn signal is turned on, the brake light then lights. Any thoughts? I appreciate any help. Suppose I should mention its a 2000 4dr. 4.3 4wd

Check for corrosion in the connector that the bulb plugs into.

Thanks for the tip the contacts all look good. I found the problem though is in the multifunction switch. When I wiggle it while pressing the brake it will light. I see there was recall on this in 08 but I was never notified. Hopefully I can still get it repaired under recall. Thanks Again
