Default Brake line install price?

So my brake line along my driver side rusted through and i'm leaking brake fluid all over the place. The cars at the shop right now and they want to charge me $150 to replace and install a new line. Is this something I can easily do myself or should I just pay the $150 and have them do it?

This is on a 96 chevy blazer 4 door.

Depends on how good you think you are It sucks if all the lines are rotted and they have to all be changed or the bleeders won't break free and break off. It could be a 20 minute job or all day

I'll do 'em all for $75!

$150 sounds about right though.. that's a long line. Changed mine during the winter.

Yeah the line ran from the front axel all the way to the back one. The line was so rusted that it broke into like 5 pieces when removing. It was definitely pretty badly rusted and i have no idea how it didn't go earlier.

They have their own lines and were going to have to bend and make it fit themselves. They also mentioned that they were going to have to bleed the system and put all the fluids back in.

So $150's a decent price? This place usually does pretty good work for very reasonable prices. I just felt like asking before having them do anything. They're closed for the holidays for the next couple days so they'll probably get it done by tuesday.

It all depends on your skill, patience, and your wallet. If you know how to bend and flare a brake line, don't mind getting rust and dirt in your face or eyes, you can do it yourself, (with exception to having someone help with bleeding the lines), in a days work for about less than $20.
If you don't have the skills or patience, don't feal bad paying $150. I've done my 98 Sierra, my wifes 2000 Cherokee, and looking like I'll be doing my 2000 Blazer soon. I might do it for a family member for less but anyone else would be paying me $100 or more easily!!!
