Fair Price On El Camino
Well this site has answered all my blazer related questions so i thought i would ask something else
I have a 1986 El Camino it has 130000 miles it has been painted in the last 4 years. It is great shape runs and looks great. Nothing wrong with it at all. Just needs to be restored. Interior still looks good but of course it looks like it is 24 years old. Well I have had for several years now and i just do not have the time or money to restore it and i need a new car so i am going to try to sell it. But i really do not know what is a good price on it. I just wanted to get opnions on what you think would be a fair price on it. I am thinking 6500 but i am not sure let me know if that is to high or to low or just right. If you have a idea just let me know and try to let me know why you think that if you can if not that is alright to.
Thanks

It's hard to appraise without Pics, lol. But, If it is in generally good condition, I would say maybe... 4,500.

I have looked at them on cars.com and auto trader and ebay and from what i have seen that 7 or 8 thousand seems to be more what they where going for. I am not disagreeing with you guys just asking another asking something else is that price that they are going for more because people who are interested in collecting them

It depends on how good of shape it is in, and who wants it. I like the El-Camino, it's a good looking truck. I have to say that seeing as you found similar models for about 7-8k, then maybe 6500 isn't bad.
I want to see pics of it, if you don't mind.

I would use many sources.
Craigslist, Auto Trader, Cars.com. eBay works, too. I think Craigslist is the only one that's free. But you definitely want to get it out there. I would also try some El-Camino forums.

It would be good if you could get $6500 for it, but I doubt it. they just are not that desirable. You could try putting up a craigslist listing for it at that price, but definitely put OBO (or best offer) after it. And pictures would definitely help...
Also, just because you have found listings asking 7-8k it doesn't mean that is what they are selling at.
