Default brake squeeking/grinding noise

i have a 99 blazer. My brakes keep making a squeeking / grinding sound. Idk what it is bc i just had my whole front end fixed including brakes. Its kinda hard to xplain they sound but I can now hear the grinding sound while driving. When it did that sound last time the mechanics said one of the brake rotors was bent and the fixed it. but now its making that noise after the re did my front end and now there telling me I need new cv axels. Can someone help me out on this bc I dont really have the money atm to get them fixed. my friend told me they were fine long as i didnt hear no popping when I make sharp turns.

i would jack up the front tire's and spin it by hand it might be the metal plate (ABS sensor) behind the rotor rubbing a little on the rotor. mine was doing that and it wouldn't happen all the time i just bent the plate back and it stopped

its 4wd, I had the tierods, idler arms, pitman arms , both lower ball joints replaced and after that it started making that sound. Now there telling my cv joints are going bad. but bfore i got all that replaced it never made a sound. just the normail popping form the ball joints

id jack the truck up and pull the tires off

inspect every thing

you might have sticking calibers but who knows till you pull the tires off

im telling you look at the abs sensor that plat runs around the rotor i bet its bent a little and rubbing the rotor. i have a 96 blazer with 210,000 miles and it has original cv joints the only noise that comes from them is when i cut the wheel all the way and you get that banging sound

That plate is the brake dust shield I believe. See how far away the port for the ABS is?

ABS is behind the dust shield & if it's rubbing then the shield is bent backwards - I think lol
This is my '02, you can see the ABS line running behind the dust shield. The ABS sensor runs into the hub & doesn't have anything to do with the dust shield - see the bottom of the pic.

It may be the dust plate, nothing to do with ABS is all I'm saying. He may have to bleed all the brakes, starting from the PS rear, then DS rear, then PS front & DS front, in that order!

I'd be weary of a hub bearing failure & like gio/geo said, lift the front & spin the tires, then I'd feel for where the issues is coming from. If you can get a mechanics stethoscope then that would be a bonus because you could come closer to pin pointing it.
