Default Brake upgrade info?

I just recently put new brakes on my Bravada, and I started thinking. There's an upgrade for the brakes on my Alero, which is an N body. Take the brakes from an F body (Camaro, Firebird) and put them on in place. I know the Alero is different in many ways, but I figure there has to be a similar upgrade for the S10 Blazer family.


I did see the rotors for a 99 Suburban which might work, according to RockAuto, they're a little bigger and thicker, but the bolt holes are roughly the same size (large enough to work) and the bolt circle seems to be compatible. The next issue is a caliper upgrade. If I can find something that'll work in place of the stock caliper, I'm golden.


Any ideas?

I've seen a few f body brake swaps done not sure about on 4wd tho. Suburban will be 6 lug so that's a no go.

My mistake, I meant the Corvette. I took a bunch of spec pictures from RockAuto and they aren't labeled, so it's easy to mix them up on my phone.


Going off of the Bravada as a 99, and the Corvette as a 99. The Bravada has a hub hole that's 2.79", Corvette is 2.78". I doubt that little .01" will be much trouble. The bolt circle is 5x4.75" on both, and the bolt size is close. .53" Corvette, .51" Bravada.


The 99 Camaro is pretty close as well. Even the 2005 Pontiac GTO is close, but the height is about an inch too much.

C5 Corvette rotors and calipers. Works really good. Made my own adapters and AN-3 lines. It surprises me all the members here that put larger rims and tires on their Blazer without any thought of restoring lost brake torque.

What kind of adapters? And would I need a bigger wheel than the stock 15"?
