brakes
i have a 95 blazer 2 dr4x4. the problem is that the front brakes do all the stopping. and as soon as u hit the brakes they will put u thru the winsheild. its like the back brakes are not working at all. any tips r tricks
First thing to check would be the brake fluid level. Its possible you blew a rear line so you only have a little fluid in the front reserve. How long has this been happening and are there any squeaks or grinding noise assoicated with this?
There is a little squealing coming from the rear when I stop. Hydraulics are good. Been doing since I bought it. I paid 600 for it and replaced the heads as it had sticking valves and seats not sealing. I tried adjusting the rear shoes but it just made the abs engage
Do the rear pads and rotors look good also did the caliper seem to move freely. It is possible it is the proportioning system which is part of the ABS unit if I recall may be bad and sending most of the fluid it the front brakes. It also possible that there is air or rust in the abs unit affecting its function.
