Default Brakes

1996, 4 whl. drv., 4.3. vortec, 213k., brakes feel like they would get tight then travel, would not lock tight. the abs doesn't seem to want o kick in. replaced the calipers and pads, still the same problem. replaced the master cylinder, still the same problem. check valve is good. no leaks on the lines. no abs warning lights showing. what should be my next step to diagnose?

Exclamation Brake lines...

I must tell you first that this is the wrong section for your post. It'll probably get moved so don't be surprised...

To answer your question:

You should have replaced the brakes lines from the frame to the caliper when you had it all apart. They're about $12~$13 each and it was a HUGE difference on my Blazer.

Good Luck!

Thanks for the reply, and for the forum tip (It was a long day). The flex lines felt soild, there was no give in them. Should I still replace them?
