Default Bravada transfer case to Blazer case

My brother has a 1997 Bravada with the constant 65/35 split AWD system. The transfer case pops so he took the front driveshaft off. I just found out that that is real bad for those transfer cases. We are going to swap to a Blazer manual transfer case so it will be a good setup (Bravada diff/axle tube setup with a Blazer T-case). We found a 1986 Jimmy with a manual transfer case in a pick n pull yard, WILL THIS WORK?? I will get the transfer case, and floor shifter console piece/lever. I realize we will have to cut the front of his flow through console off but we just need to know if the transfer case will bolt up.

Or would be easier to just get another Bravada T-Case? Only problem is I can't find any Bravadas at the yard, especially 91-97 ones. Will an Astro AWD T-Case work?

It will bolt on and work but figuring out the electronics (vss) is the complicated part. I can put up a bit of info about it tomorrow of you'd like!

If you decide to get another AWD transfer case you just need one with the same speed sensor.

However the manual shift transfer case would be awesome!
