Default broadcast code sgk

alldata fuel pump part number 25344816. What is a broadcast code where do I find it or do I need it. Need new fuel pump. Ebay has a pump cross referenced with the above part number but it lists broadcast code sgk as well. Do I ignore the broadcast code or???? Anyone know if the pump part number above will work on blazer below.

1999 S10 Blazer 2 door auto 4.3L V 6 auto 4x4

The broadcast code is on the top of the old fuel pump.

Default broadcast code fuel pump

Thanks. I was just getting ready to buy new cv axles and the truck quit. Turns over but no start. I do not have the tools to test pressure but my gas gauge has been going crazy last couple of months, bounces up and down etc so I figure I could use new pump anyway, I can't here the pump kick in any more when turn key on.Put new relay in,hope not vcm.

thanks.

I would definitely recommend testing things prior to just replacing them...

I poured a little gas into the engine and it fired up for 10 seconds or so till it used gas I poured in.

So I am guessing it is fuel related problem, engine not getting gas.

Thanks for input.

But is it not getting gas because the pump is bad (quite likely given the track record of the fuel pumps in these trucks), a bad fuse, a bad relay, or a wiring issue between the relay an the pump. It would suck to find out that it was one of the last three after you replaced the pump...

Yea it would suck. I noticed the last few weeks it was taking longer to start. It used to fire up right away. Then one morning when trying to start it, it sort of choked like it was going to stall but it kept running.

Now it is dead no start. So maybe I will get a pressure gauge and start trouble shooting with that.

thanks

no brainer???

Is the 1999 S10 Blazer 4.3L V6 throttle body injection or other. I know it has a throttle body.

Reason I ask is some fuel pressure testers state they will not work on GM throtte body injection.

Thanks

Edit: I guess it is csfi Vin W.

Just to fill out that question for anyone else, any 93-95 CPI / 96+ SCFI 4.3L will be equiped with a fuel pressure test port. The older TBI motors do not and require an adapter fitting be placed between the TBI unit and the fuel feed line to test the pressure.

Will it start with starting fluid or by dribbling fuel down the throttle body (if dribbling fuel down the throttle body, disconnect the MAF sensor electrical connection)?
