Is the "Security" light staying on, or blinking? Also, the ground connection at the gauge sender/ pump access may be lacking, since both are effected. For grins, I'd pull the fuel filter & "bump" the input side on a paper towel/rag & look for way fine metallic debris (as well as loads of silt). Clogged filters overheat pumps & the metallic debris is a tell-tale.
Put battery on trickle charge overnight. Started right up next morning. That is second time it did this. Now I am looking at defective battery? Enough power to crank but not enough voltage to kick in fuel pump.Possible?
Bought new battery not the problem. Looking at alternator maybe voltage regulator is shot. Key on not running voltage meter leaning way to the left.
