Default Burning gas too fast.

Why is my blazer burning go so fast? I know this may seem like a ridiculous question. but on the normal I have to drive about 30 miles a day. I put it in about a 1/4 tank of gas which is about 4 gallons. Why is it that it says low fuel after about 15 miles? then after I park it for a while it goes up and then when I drive it goes down? is there something wrong with my gas tank?

You might have a sending unit on the fuel pump going out. Have you manually calculated your mileage?

I've read in here that our vehicles take an average reading while in drive or reverse because of fuel sloshing around. When it's in neutral or park it reads/displays actual level because the vehicle should be motionless.
Mine does that too, while driving & under 1/4 tank the low fuel lights up. If I pop it into neutral the needle jumps around & then settles, somewhat.
