Shake the can while doing this, turning it from upright to sideways. 10-20 minutes is not unheard of.

ahhh, ok, I've only given it 5 minutes or so so far. will give it a try, thanks. valvoline wants $119.99 to test/purge/recharge.

The compressor should be running during this so you can monitor the low side pressure. When the compressor is not running, it will take much longer to empty a can as the pressure differential is not as great.

The compressor is only running intermittently ...
