if the ac clutch does not engage, that's probly why. mine doesn't work either, and the A/C clutch doesn't engage, all i get is warm air.

When you manually power the compressor clutch, does the system perform properly (ie. cold air)?

no it does not.... the compressor is now kicking on and off... cycling, but stilll no cold air.., i tried one of the re3charge kits but when i hooked it up it registered full when the clutch kicked on it dropped to empty...., im assuming i have a leak somewhere... so iguess i have to find the leak... the weird thing about it is when i tried adding some it the gauge registerd in the yellow saqyin its overfull, (clutch not on) but whenthe clutch engages, the gauge drops to empty....

You should expect the gauge to drop when the clutch engages. When the clutch is not engaged, the entire system is basically at the same level of charge. When the clutch engages, it sucks freon out of the low pressure side to create the high pressure needed for the system to work. When you charge you should be adding the freon to theLOW pressure side while the system is operating (clutch engaged) to the desired pressure.
