Default A/C Once Again Operational! Here's the post brief

So after I tried jumping the compressor from the pressure switch i direct jumped it at the clutch which engaged it. There was no r134 in the system which only leads to a conclusion that there is a leak somewhere. I charged the system with the clutch jumped and removed the jump wires. I reconnected the plug and the a/c started working again. So is there a different safety somewhere that will prevent the clutch from engaging when the system is low other than the safety swtich? In any case my A/C works again! Thanks guys whoever helped, i appreciate it greatly!

Didn't really need another thread, but ok.

Anyway, do not leave the low pressure switch jumpered for normal operation. That is asking for compressor damage if it continues to pump with insufficient charge. You really need to find the leak and repair it properly.

Sorry about the thread, well its not jumped everything is connected normally i just jumped the clutch to charge the system but after it was done i reconnected everything the way it's supposed to be. I know i need to find the leak but it's my dad's car and I just came to visit him. He'll probably end up taking it to a shop to fix the leak, I just have to find it so he doesn't get ripped off. Thanks for the help!

The replacement refrigerant should contain stop leak as well as a leak detector dye. Keep ahead of the leak if necessary, checking it often.
