I have had this Blazer for abut 6 years now. I want to sell it in order to buy a Chevy Short box regular cab 4x4. I can't haul plywood in the Blazer, and I didn't want to haul engine, or suspension parts for my 37 Ford in it. (The 37 has Chevy engine and transmission in it.)

Still.. Should the needle stay in the green at the bottom of the cycle, or top of the cycle??

I got the needle to just sit out side of the green when the compressor turns off. It blows cool air now. It is 86 degrees out there, but it just won't get cold air inside. I still have some cold stuff in that 18 once can.. Maybe I should just put it all in??

I went out a while ago. Started it up. Won't engage, and blowing hot air. There must be a leak some place. Is there a way to look for a leak??

Most over the counter cans of refrigerant has a UV dye added to it. A UV light (black light) will cause the dye to glow making it highly visible in low ambient light.

NewbieT, I'm very interested in what you know about Blazer A/C, because mine's blowing hot air too. That said, r134a has roughly zero ozone depletion potential and, although it is itself a green-house gas, it has only moderate global warming potential, if you buy that stuff in the first place. Global warming due to human activities is an unproven hypothesis with no incontrovertible data to back it up. If you're concerned about global warming, donate your Blazer and ride a bicycle.
